Steps To Reproduce
Additional Information This is Debian bug 396751

The hardware is a Palm III running Palm OS 3.5.

"pilot-xfer --list --port /dev/ttyS0" works as expected. But jpilot sync does not work.

See the Debian bug at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=396751 [^] to have more information.

From the Debian bug 398870 reported as bug 1764 on pilot-link

Hmm, that works, where 9600 had not.

Odder still, at 115200, I am no longer able to reproduce the various
sync problems with my Palm III (debian bug 396751). This is
especially odd in that, in the past, syncing at slower speeds like
9600 has been the way to reduce bugs and problems. How odd.

So is this no longer an issue?

If you can't reliably reproduce it... we should probably close the bug :)

The real question is: why does it work at some serial speeds and not at others?

Is the problem in pilot-link, Linux kernel and/or the Palm device?

I have the same issue with Debian Etch and a Palm V. Was working OK with Sarge. Tried to make the connection speed change to no avail. Any other workaround?
(Of course, I will be happy to fetch and share any debug data that might help you.)
